FAT TO THIN

It was January 2006 and I had a birthday bash to go to.I could not believe I needed a size 20 dress.I went to the party and felt a frump,everybody said how nice I looked but it did not mean a thing …That was when I decided enough was enough I had to bite the bullet and seriously change my eating habits.I had always been big but two years previously I had given up smoking and piled on 2 stone so I knew that had to go and more….

Flavoured vinegars & oils.

vinegar I just love flavourings and as I eat so many salads and spiced food,I just can’t wait to make new ones.

I probably started a few years ago with basil & mint but now make with most other herbs & chillies.

Recycling & energy saving.

bulb.jpgI never thought I would be so keen on recycling and energy saving but I have turned out to  be very keen.Not so much global warming although that is important ,but more about recycling and saving energy..I know there are 1000’s of tips out there but you have to use what works for you to make life a lot easier.There is no point in wearing yourself and your family out trying to recycle the world ,all is that is needed is your own little bit and then …Great oaks from little acorns grow!!

About my gardening

gardener21.pngLet me talk about my gardening.I started my first allotment 5 years go after seeing an advert in a local mag.At that time nobody wanted them so I had a choice of plot.

It was the start of a different life.In fact if I was to be truthful it changed my life for ever…Including my husbands as he started out by just helping with the tough bits and ended up working the ground every weekend.
